Vendor/Consultant Needed for overhaul of site search

By Christine Heesters posted Jun 13, 2011 11:21 AM

The International Reading Association (IRA) is going to undertake a huge project -- a complete overhaul of our internal site search engine on www.reading.org.  It's a system that's 9 years old and it no longer reflects the best in search and doesn't support IRA's objectives very well.

We need some external help with the project -- to define the requirements, help identify the search platform, and assist with the implmentation.

Does anyone have any recommendations for vendors or consultants with expertise in site search?

Try Funnelback. It's an Australian company used in many of the Australian Government intranets and websites. It was created by the CSIRO (who also invented wifi)

Thanks for posting this to the Blogs area of the HUG site. One additional place that I would recommend that you post would be our "Jobs in Community Management" Community. Even if you don't have a specific RFQ/RFP fleshed out yet a majority of our client base and partners are in that Community and might be able to help with a recommendation for this project.
