Meet Your New Admin Experience

One of the many things I love about Higher Logic is HUG, our user community. Not only is it where customers share tips & tricks and best practices with each other, it is also an incredibly active and vibrant place where people submit new ideas and feedback on just about every aspect of our product. While there’s lots and lots of things that we want (and are doing) with the front-end user-facing side of our products, there’s one theme we’ve been working on for the past several months that I want to introduce to you – the new admin experience.

I believe that one of the ways we can help deliver the best experience for your customers, users, and members is to make it easier for you to do more things, more often with our product. With that in mind we are in the final stages of redesigning a lot of the administrative experience you see – in the community product, in Workspace, and in the marketing automation products. All of it!

With this work, we are going to be changing the overall look and feel of the admin experience throughout our products. We are changing the navigation, how some pages are organized and some of the terminology. We have rebuilt some of the most commonly used features. We’re creating new dashboards. We are adding in new admin search and help content. We’ve rebuilt our CMS web page design system.

From your perspective, we really focused on:

  • Making it easier to accomplish routine tasks as simply as possible. We know that lots of you wear many hats and have lots of responsibilities, so we want to help you just get things done.
  • Helping you discover new features and feel confident in implementing them. There’s a lot of automation and customization inside our products, and the more you use, the better your results will be.
  • Creating new insights to give you better visibility into what is going on with you customers and members.

We’ll be landing the first phase of these new capabilities soon and previewing them for the first time at Super Forum. Of course, this is just the beginning. This new admin experience is the first step in terms of improving and evolving these products for you.  And your feedback and great ideas are what are helping to shape it.

@Moira Goggin - thank you for the comment.  I would suggest you jump right in with the admin training now.  The concepts and capabilities are the same, and the transition to the new admin experience should only take a few days to become familiar with it.

It's wonderful to see the investment in the product and the incorporation of users input for improvements.

We are new to the product, and just beginning self-paced training.  Would we be better off delaying the admin training until the new interface is released?  If not, how long before the training materials catch-up to the new interface?

Thank you in advance.
