Many organizations have small community teams building and managing growing community ecosystems. Once an organization sees how a community can support their lines of business, everyone wants one! But communities are not a "build it and they will come" solutions; they take resources and hard work. Enter a Center of Excellence (COE)! In this session, Jim Storer from The Community Roundtable explores what a COE is and how organizations are building them to support their community efforts. Janet Stiles from the Associations of American Medical Colleges shares how they've developed and leveraged a COE at her organization. Attend this session to learn:
• The difference between cross community resources and community management services
• How to start small and grow your COE over time
• Why change and flexibility is a feature, not a bug, of most COEs
