Community Engagement: Value, Validate, and Respect (learning series webinar)

When:  May 19, 2011 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM (ET)

ENGAGEMENT – we all want it, but how do we get it? This interactive session will share a new twist on this hot topic. Community management should mean community engagement. There are several ways to make sure you’re reaching this optimal level of community engagement, whether online or offline. Start by creating an Engagement Mantra.

Jay will describe his Engagement Mantra:

  • Value personal connections and celebrate contributions.
  • Validate ideas and ask for feedback.
  • Respect time and listen more.
…and challenge you to create one of your own for your online communities. Keep in mind, an Engagement Mantra will foster a community environment that functions healthily without your involvement at every turn. Remember: if your members are having a positive experience, they’ll tell others. And in the end, your community grows and benefits.

BONUS: We’ll use the last 5 minutes of the session to brainstorm ideas on Engagement Mantras. Every attendee who shares an Engagement Mantra idea will be entered to win a complimentary 60 minute strategy consultation with Jay. This winner will be notified via email following the session.
